the streets of philadelphia

Yesterday I accompanied my boss samantha Pleet on a little train trip to philly for her design meeting with urban Outfitters. This picture below is of city hall and atop is there little golden boy william Penn, who has a little tale of his own.
The Urban headquarters are in an old marine corps that, have warehouse apon warehouse of a designers dream world
One of the warehouses holds there cafeteria which serves sushi, salad, and all things health with a gym atop to-boot
below is a picture of samantha in one of the entrances

there was this amazing sitting area that had what seamed like a 100mile long comfy couch for when the workers needed to kick there feet up.

tee hee hee

while clearing out my computer I came across these photos that I just had to post because they made me smile too much.
wowza the stages we go through in our lives.

bathurst and bloor, need i say more

My favourite blond baker has started a blog. Make it a daily staple.

it's like 60 minutes on acid.

David Byrne made some of my favourite music.
I didn't realize he also is big into biking and blogging.

Everything that happens will happen today; in NY this weekend it's kinda true. David Byrne and Brian Eno are playing both nights. holy moly.

work hard for it, honey

I've been at work before 8AM every day this week. It is a rare pleasure to watch the sunlight pour between the buildings stacked like domino's.
Sexual subway sculptures entertain me while I wait.
Groggy mornings aren't that bad.

this garment district worker really needs a day off.

i'm a lot less scared of LOST after living in this city; there is black smoke everywhere.

And just as I start to think that maybe fashion is in danger of taking itself too seriously, Isaac Mizrahi gives us bags as hats.

I SURVIVED, unlike our dear friend the unicorn.

judge a book by it's cover

"i had spent the last six months in france writing scenarios for an obscure recording company that specialized in the transcription of fairy tales"
-richard farina
while stumbling through the streets of brooklyn. this book cover caught my eye. the illustration was so beautiful i bought it to sit and be pretty. but. while patently waiting for the l-train i flipped through the aged pages to find the words were even more breath taking.

Watch your best friends favourite movies.

A young Alec Baldwin playing a dream boat!
Get your hands on a copy of Prelude to a Kiss.

He:
-drinks Canadian Beer
-proposes on the first date
-has the perfect amount of chest hair
-believes her/kisses him

don't know how I missed this one it's been around for awhile. Do yourself a favor and stay home with it tonight.

Just another day at the office. . .

In the span of 30 minutes Little J and (not so little) Lily Donaldson strolled into the showroom.

Looking forward to reading her whole story.

a scrap book of sorts

We are two best friends: Sarah and Lara.

We have been collaging together since we were in kindergarten. From hilroy to apple, the medium has changed but the message remains the same.

We get by with a little help from our friends,
xoxo
