holy macaroni

If you build it, he will come. Every day of the two weeks i've told everyone I've talked to that my goal in NYC is have a run in with our long time dream-hunk Joshy hot hot Hartnett. I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked up in Opening Ceremony today and . . . HE WAS THERE, with none other then the beautiful Helena Christensen ( more then just a model, this babe was a co-founder of Nylon Mag )

After cleaning my spectacles to make sure I wasn't dreaming I grabbed the biz and we began softly stalking him around the shop. We know it's not the coolest thing to be utterly star-struck but we have seen 40 days and 40 nights like 300 times. I turned my back for one second and heard:

"Hi, I'm lara"

followed by

"Hey! I'm josh!!"

After we mingled for a bit we decided to pop the photo op. We know these are terribly unflattering, but seriously, try to pose next to this guy.

nyc n' me

many sincere apologies to anyone still passing by this blogspace.

I've been more then pre-occupied as of late, getting up (early) to all sorts of fun. My most note-worthy activities include: falling in love with the works of damien hirst, not once getting lost underground, enjoying the vast selections of american food, celebrating the inauguration with free drink before 9, eating cuban corn covered in cheese, mom making my new bed warm and cozy, and being reunited under one(small)roof with the biz.

everytime you say goodbye i say hello, hello

this night really reinforced how important music can be and how sometimes, although very rare, it can be so right.

So far it seems as if '09 isn't too much different from '08, resolutions are (meant to be) broken and we are all still trying to keep warm and dry. I vote for a do-over count down, and more countdowns on other nights too. Whatever your plans to feel fine in '09, be sure to make time for hellos and goodbyes, good music nights, and walks in the park because (as if we didn't already know) the city can make you crazy.

short drives to long shadows and buried goods

all suited up

this is what it looks like when snowmobilers smile

a scrap book of sorts

We are two best friends: Sarah and Lara.

We have been collaging together since we were in kindergarten. From hilroy to apple, the medium has changed but the message remains the same.

We get by with a little help from our friends,
xoxo
