Seattle was filled with old trees and new friends. everything was made with the freshest ingredients, earth-moving oysters, and the coffee was (apparently) perfection.

The theater is not dead, althought it does resemble deadwood.

new york is a brat, constantly demanding the full attention of it's inhabitants. It can be tricky to focus at times. As far as I can tell, the best coping mechanism is to find some little pocket to spend some time. Recently, I discovered the inside of theater can be the perfect calming place.

This weekend my dad was my theater date. Our second sunday show 'God of Carnage' was a hilariously dark look at two sets of parents doing what parents do best: defending their children and being totally crazy. It's filled with quick dialogue, perfect timing, physical comedy, and awkward silences.

We weren't the only ones who enjoyed it.

jane fonda and barbara walters seems to be enjoying themselves.

FOUND

this and i liked it. wanted to share it. hope you having a good moment.

spotted.

During NY fashion week I saw both Carine Roitfeld and Anna Wintour in the span of two days, Roitfeld mingling with models at Cafe Pitti and Wintour brunching with daughter dearest as Pastis. At the time I didn't feel that it was worth mentioning but yesterday on my stroll home from the office on the corner of 23rd and 8th ave I had a celebrity sighting that is totally blog-worthy. Across the internsection from me was PETE HORNBERGER, Liz lemons co-worker and friend on 30rock. He was super cool, and I swear, in character. I told him i love the show and he told me he liked my glasses.

TGIT? Lost and 30 rock are the salty and sweet of television. See you tonight Pete!

I have lots of favourtie places in this city.
My newest happy place is the maison martin margiela store in the meatpacking; a west side apartment converted to a gallery like shop.
They don't allow photos but we snuck one in the (bathroom turned) changeroom.

food for thought.

They really know how to eat here.
New York magazine and I agree that the best burger in the city is found at Resto.
Photobucket

Noteworthy matzo ball soup in the city, listed from best to still really good: Stage Deli, Carnegie Deli, Katz Deli

Pizzzzzzzzzzzzza from the corner of Houston and Thompson.

Nyc creme cheese is unbelievable and has a whole life beyond the bagel. it's hard to find a carrot cake that isn't well-dressed.

Not all McFlurries are created equal, and the Park Ave. McDonalds has some serious skills.

a scrap book of sorts

We are two best friends: Sarah and Lara.

We have been collaging together since we were in kindergarten. From hilroy to apple, the medium has changed but the message remains the same.

We get by with a little help from our friends,
xoxo
